We headed down to Cincinnati for the day/night to catch the Indians/Reds game that night as well as explore some of the city during the day. This was John's birthday present from me so it was really up to him what we did.

We stopped down just north of downtown Cincinnati at a computer superstore so John could buy some things that he needed. As anyone that knows John he was in heaven the entire time we were there. Before we headed into the city we ate breakfast at Ihop since we don't have one closer to us. After that we headed into downtown.

We decided to head over into Kentucky and go to Newport since it is one of our favorite areas. We headed specifically to Newport on the Levee (http://www.newportonthelevee.com/) since we have enjoyed our time there before. We opted to not do the aquarium since we had just went last September and nothing changed. We had a nice few hours of walking around the shops outside and inside as well as just people watching on a beautiful Saturday.

After that we were able to check into the hotel early so we headed back into downtown Cincinnati. We stayed at the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza (Hilton). The hotel is located in the heart of Cincinnati right down the street from Fountain Square and connected to the Tower Place Mall which features Macy's and Saks Fifth Avenue.

The room we stayed in featured a king size bed, TV, desk, chair and the bathroom of course. For the price I paid I honestly was expecting a little more but the room did what we needed from it since we were only down there a night. It definitely would not hurt them to freshen up the rooms paint job just a bit and maybe even replace the carpets.

After relaxing in the room for awhile we decided to head back over to Newport and stop at Hooters from some lunch and drinks! We decided that walking would be easy enough since we were only three blocks from the river. Well boy were we wrong in this case. I honestly do not think it would have been half as bad as it was if it wasn't so hot out and if the closest bridge to cross over was not closed.

After lunching and relaxing at Hooters we walked back over to the hotel and enjoyed the air conditioned room for a few hours before the game. The night game started at 7:05pm so we headed over at around 6:45pm to find our seats! For having never been to the Red's stadium I have to say I think I did pretty well picking our seats.

The Ohio Cup is what the games between the Indians/Reds are called. They have some cup that they give to whoever wins the most games when the teams play each other.

  Florida Keys April 3rd-8th, 2021 Our Florida Keys trip was for Spring Break 2021. This was the first visit for my family, buy my in-laws who travelled with us have been a few times. 31 Days 2013: Weight Loss!!!

Today has been an awesome day from start to finish!! Things just seem to falling in place and that makes me very happy as well as way less stressed. The best news of the day is that I lost more weight!!!! For those that were not aware I have been actively trying to lost weight since after I had Lexi. Well I lost the 25lbs of baby weight I gained in April, but wanted to lose more. So from that point on I started really focusing on losing weight. It already helped that I stopped having Starbucks multiple times a month and sometimes a week as well as pretty much stopped eating out. At home I focused more on healthier menu options as well as potion control. I also started tracking my food with MyFitnessPal . I truly believe those three things helped me continue losing weight because all I did for working out was walk.
