SLS3 Neon Running Sock Review

Image
I've been running more this year then any other time in my life and I have been on the lookout for great, affordable gear. Running socks are something I've been having trouble finding. I either find ones I like, but not in my price point or I find ones that are in my price point and they are terrible. Enter these Neon Running socks by SLS3. I've worn these a handful of times when running and I have to say I am really impressed. So here is what I like about them: They are really comfortable. Light-weight, which is great for hot summer runs. They fit as described. I love the bright neon colors. Some things I don't like: The ankle part of the sock is tighter then I would like. They are a bit pricey then I would like. I really do not have anything negative to say about them. The quality has held up really well with wearing and washing them. I think the only thing that could be a problem is that because they are light-weight, you would need heavier...

SLS3 Running Belt + Raffle!

I am so excited to share my new find with everyone! As most of you know, in the last year and a half or so I have gotten into running. Late last year I found out about running belts, which has made running solo much easy because I have a place to put my keys primarily as well as a few other things I carry. I was contacted by SLS3 recently to see about testing out their new duel pocket, water resistant running belt . I was finally able to head out over the last few days with this gorgeous weather to give the belt a test. The running belt comes in four colors: black, blue, lime, or purple. It has two pockets, which I've not seen on any other running belts I've looked at. They claim it's big enough to fit a large smartphone (i.e. iPhone 6+, Samsung Galaxy, etc.) plus other essential items like keys, cards, energy bars, and inhaler. It's also suppose to be comfortable and to stay in place while working out. It's also not suppose to bounce will running or ride up y...

Daverley Running Belt Review

Wow, I've been bad at blogging! It's been a month since my last write up and I didn't even notice. I really hope you all enjoyed your summer and are getting back into the swing of things. We've had a crazy busy summer, made even crazier by the fact we are expecting baby number two in November.  If you've read any of my previous posts then you know I have taken up running the last year or so. I am now getting to the point where I am even running on my own without L. My solo runs are great and I enjoy them much more then pushing a jogging stroller, but I've found I have a little problem. Where do I put my car key at?? My arm band for my iPhone has a slot, but it's too small for my car key so this hasn't solved any problem for me. I hate to tell you because it's gross, but I've tucking it in the side of my sports bra since that is the only place I feel I won't lose it.  I am happy to say I have found a solution though!! A friend of mine put...

Health and Fitness during this Pregnancy!

Image
If you've been following my health and fitness journey the last two and a half years then you will know that I have completely changed my lifestyle as well as my families. We are eating at home more, experimenting with new foods and recipes, watching our portions, cut back on sweets, and most importantly added exercise into our daily lives!!! This is a huge step for not only me, but my husband too. We went from being active during college to working full-time and letting our health go down the drain. After we welcomed L to our world, I knew that I wanted to be healthier for her. I wanted her to see that being active and eating a balanced diet is the right way to live. I wanted to show her how to care for her body and never feel like I did for years. Growing up I didn't really have any positive body roles models and I didn't want that for L. I wanted her to feel confident that nobody her body size, as long as she was healthy and active then she was just the way God inten...
