So if you follow me on   Facebook   or   Instagram   then you know I travel quite a bit. Our families all live in the greater Cleveland area so we head up there ever few months as well as take a few weekend trips a year and a yearly week long vacation. We just came back from Myrtle Beach a few weeks ago and I thought I would share some tips that work for us and L. Tip #1 - Have Someone Sit in the Backseat The first tip I can give is that I have found if I sit in the backseat with L, it helps tremendously. I know this won't work for everyone, but if you have room and have had issues with traveling I would suggest it. As a baby I was able to feed her in the car and don't have to worry about us stopping (I bottle-fed). I think it also provided some comfort to her to know that I was close by if she needed anything. St. Maarten/St. Martin March 12, 2011 Our last port was St. Maarten. It was a sad day because we did not want our trip to end but we were really excited about this island. Our excursion was a beach day to St. Martin! Both islands are gorgeous and the bus ride to Orient Beach gave us some great views. It also allowed us to learn about both islands.  Once we were to Orient Beach we were shown to a section of beach chairs in front of a restaurant that were ours for the day. We were then left to our own desire for about three or four hours to do whatever. We ended up playing in the water a lot because the ocean was so calm. We also walked the beach, which featured other resorts and some private condo's. The excursion featured a free lunch, which I cannot remember the type of food at all but it was good from what I remembered.  The views were spectacular and it was a great end to one of our dream vacations. St. Kitts & Nevis March 11, 2011 The last two islands we decided to just do some easier excursions. In St. Lucia we choose the Beach Extravaganza. From port they take you on a scenic drive to Frigate Bay to a beach. The drive was nice and we saw some great views. Once at the beach we were not all the impressed. We were told the chairs/beds were free because we paid for the excursion. Turns out that was not true at all. We ended up paying $20 for a bed seating. I was not happy about that but it was better then sitting in the uncomfortable sand all day. This was another just so-so island for me. I did not feel like the people were very nice and friendly. They just wanted to shove the drinks and food down your throat. This is also one of the beaches were people walk around offer massages, hair braiding, and pictures with monkeys. After about an hour it gets really annoying to be ask the same thing by multiple people especially when your not interested.  On the way back ...
