Travel Tips!

Image
So if you follow me on   Facebook   or   Instagram   then you know I travel quite a bit. Our families all live in the greater Cleveland area so we head up there ever few months as well as take a few weekend trips a year and a yearly week long vacation. We just came back from Myrtle Beach a few weeks ago and I thought I would share some tips that work for us and L. Tip #1 - Have Someone Sit in the Backseat The first tip I can give is that I have found if I sit in the backseat with L, it helps tremendously. I know this won't work for everyone, but if you have room and have had issues with traveling I would suggest it. As a baby I was able to feed her in the car and don't have to worry about us stopping (I bottle-fed). I think it also provided some comfort to her to know that I was close by if she needed anything. Now that she has gotten older, I can make sure she has different activities to keep her entertained, snacks or food, and be there to sooth her if sh...

Daverley Running Belt Review

Wow, I've been bad at blogging! It's been a month since my last write up and I didn't even notice. I really hope you all enjoyed your summer and are getting back into the swing of things. We've had a crazy busy summer, made even crazier by the fact we are expecting baby number two in November.  If you've read any of my previous posts then you know I have taken up running the last year or so. I am now getting to the point where I am even running on my own without L. My solo runs are great and I enjoy them much more then pushing a jogging stroller, but I've found I have a little problem. Where do I put my car key at?? My arm band for my iPhone has a slot, but it's too small for my car key so this hasn't solved any problem for me. I hate to tell you because it's gross, but I've tucking it in the side of my sports bra since that is the only place I feel I won't lose it.  I am happy to say I have found a solution though!! A friend of mine put...

Meal Planning

Let's talk about meal planning today. I've been working on meal planning for months now and I finally figured out a system that works for me. I wanted to share with you because I know I struggled to find something that worked for my family so others probably are too. I found meal planning to be really daunting, stressful, and time consuming. I found a lot of helpful, but overwhelming information on  Pinterest . I finally figured out that what I needed was time to sift through all the information I found and formulate a plan.  Theme Nights The first thing I struggled with was deciding what nights to have what meals. I know for some people this isn't a problem, but for me for whatever reason I found it tedious to decide what nights to have what meals. I found a great solution, that I had already been using (meatless Mondays): Theme Nights. A few different blogs had ideas and I just wrote down, which ones would work for me family. My list includes: Mexican Pasta ...

Stitch Fix Maternity Review Part Two!

I hope everyone is having a great summer and had a fun holiday weekend! We've been really busy with some traveling so things have been crazy on my end. I have finally gotten a moment to share with you my thoughts on my second Stitch Fix box. A lot of what I've read said that they get better the more you order from them and the more the stylist learn your likes. In my review last time, my biggest problem was that they too expensive especially for maternity clothes. I mentioned that in my review last time to them and as well as my note to the stylist this time. She did her best to stick me as close to $50 as possible, which I appreciate. Now onto what I got... Laila Jayde Darcie Knot Front Maternity Top My husband and I are both in agree that this shirt is just awful. It does not falter me at all. I didn't even really like the color or material. I felt for $28.00 it was made poorly. Plus I am not sure the person designing it realizes that most pregnant woman still w...

Health and Fitness during this Pregnancy!

Image
If you've been following my health and fitness journey the last two and a half years then you will know that I have completely changed my lifestyle as well as my families. We are eating at home more, experimenting with new foods and recipes, watching our portions, cut back on sweets, and most importantly added exercise into our daily lives!!! This is a huge step for not only me, but my husband too. We went from being active during college to working full-time and letting our health go down the drain. After we welcomed L to our world, I knew that I wanted to be healthier for her. I wanted her to see that being active and eating a balanced diet is the right way to live. I wanted to show her how to care for her body and never feel like I did for years. Growing up I didn't really have any positive body roles models and I didn't want that for L. I wanted her to feel confident that nobody her body size, as long as she was healthy and active then she was just the way God inten...
