We started our vacation by getting up really early for our 6:05 am flight to San Juan. We arrived in San Juan, Puerto Rico at 1:00 pm to beautiful blue and sunny sky! We started our trip at the InterContinental San Juan Resort &Casino in Carolina, Puerto Rico. The area is also known as Isla Verde.

The hotel is updated in the common areas such as the lobby, pool, and restaurants. The rooms are older, which I did not think you could really tell. We had a smaller standard room for our first stay and then on our second stay we had  a bigger room similar to the first one.

The best part of the hotel is definitely the pool area and beach! That is where we spent most of the time at the hotel.

The hotels has four restaurants named Alfredo's, Ruth's Chris Steak House, Momoyama, and Ciao Mediterranean. We only ate at Ciao Mediterranean which is located in the back of the property on the beach.  It has your typically bar food with a Caribbean twist. The food is good for a quick snack or lunch but I would choose other places to eat at.

We spend most of our time relaxing in the lounge chairs around the pool or by the swim-up bar. My only complaint about the pool was that the water was freezing. It was not bad after being in the sun for along time but if you wanted to come from the hotel and get right in the pool it was freezing. The beach was really clean and did not have people bugging you to buy things. Some vendors had tables that were selling jewelry and other knick-knacks. The beach is open to the public but here was plenty enough space for everyone.










 For dinner the first night we went over to the El San Juan Resort & Casino to check out Brother Jimmy's BBQ( BBQ). John and I got a platter that has pulled pork, beef brisket, ribs, chicken and few sides. The food was really good and you received big portions. The best part of the restaurant is that it is on the top of the hotel and offers awesome views of the area.

  Florida Keys April 3rd-8th, 2021 Our Florida Keys trip was for Spring Break 2021. This was the first visit for my family, buy my in-laws who travelled with us have been a few times. We flew direct from Cleveland to Miami and then Miami - Charlotte - Cleveland return flight. Once in Miami we rented a car and drove down to the keys.  Day 1: We arrived in Miami around 10am or so. 31 Days 2013: Weight Loss!!!

Today has been an awesome day from start to finish!! Things just seem to falling in place and that makes me very happy as well as way less stressed. The best news of the day is that I lost more weight!!!! For those that were not aware I have been actively trying to lost weight since after I had Lexi. Well I lost the 25lbs of baby weight I gained in April, but wanted to lose more. So from that point on I started really focusing on losing weight. It already helped that I stopped having Starbucks multiple times a month and sometimes a week as well as pretty much stopped eating out. At home I focused more on healthier menu options as well as potion control. I also started tracking my food with MyFitnessPal . I truly believe those three things helped me continue losing weight because all I did for working out was walk. This blog has been a long time coming, but I've entered a new phase of life where one kid is at school all day and another is gone two mornings of the week.
