A New Journey


Well as my title implies I am at a new point in life. My husband and I got married August 29, 2009 and have started a new life together as husband and wife. With this new point in life I have decided to start a blog about our life together along with one of my favorite things TRAVELING!

I love to travel and unfortunately didn't get to do much in the last few years because of college and John really didn't travel at all growing up so we are taking the time and starting to travel since we both love it. This blog probably isn't going to be all about traveling but most of it will.

We have already started traveling prior to getting married but now we are focusing on it more since we aren't in school any longer and can officially start taking weekend trips since we don't work. We wanted to just share this blog with anyone who is interested along with our families and friends.

Florida Keys Review

  Florida Keys April 3rd-8th, 2021 Our Florida Keys trip was for Spring Break 2021. This was the first visit for my family, buy my in-laws who travelled with us have been a few times. We flew direct from Cleveland to Miami and then Miami - Charlotte - Cleveland return flight. Once in Miami we rented a car and drove down to the keys.  Day 1: We arrived in Miami around 10am or so. Got our rental car and headed down to the keys! Here are some pictures from our drive down to Key Largo. We stopped in Key Largo at Jimmy Johnson's Big Chill . It's definitely a bar type restaurant, but for a quick lunch it did the trick plus the patio is nice and overlooks the ocean. Great views especially after being on an airplane all morning. 31 Days 2013: Weight Loss!!!

Today has been an awesome day from start to finish!! Things just seem to falling in place and that makes me very happy as well as way less stressed. The best news of the day is that I lost more weight!!!! For those that were not aware I have been actively trying to lost weight since after I had Lexi. Well I lost the 25lbs of baby weight I gained in April, but wanted to lose more. So from that point on I started really focusing on losing weight. It already helped that I stopped having Starbucks multiple times a month and sometimes a week as well as pretty much stopped eating out. At home I focused more on healthier menu options as well as potion control. I also started tracking my food with MyFitnessPal . I truly believe those three things helped me continue losing weight because all I did for working out was walk. A Guide to Maui with Kids!

This blog has been a long time coming, but I've entered a new phase of life where one kid is at school all day and another is gone two mornings of the week. I've been trying to figure out besides running and basic household stuff what to do with all this time! I'm gonna give this blog thing another shot.
