Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas! I hope you all had a wonderful day and got to spend lots of time with your family! Christmas has taken on a whole new meaning at our house now that Lexi is getting older. She still doesn't understand the whole Santa thing yet but was super excited for all her new gifts. The last two days have been really relaxed and casual for us. Christmas Eve I finished wrapping a few gifts. We listened to Christmas music and went to a wonderful Christmas Eve mass. After mass we had a nice dinner, which Lexi loved the steak and corn part of. After dinner we give Lexi her gift from us, which was Christmas pajamas and a book. 



She had so much fun opening the box up and looking at her new stuff. After bath time Lexi was treated to cookies that John made for Santa.


While snacking on the cookies we watch How the Grinch Stole Christmas then we read Lexi her new book called Santa Comes to Ohio (Thanks Aunt Lauren for the recommendation). We got to Skype with Grandma Dianne, Grandpa Steve, Aunt Shea, and Aunt Emilee before bed too!! After all that fun Lexi went to sleep to wait for Santa! After a rough night of sleep Lexi gave us the best Christmas gift of sleeping in until 9 AM. 


We woke up to find that Santa arrived and brought loads of presents with him! Lexi was not at all interested in the new things sitting there but much more interested in playing with her beauty set. After pulling her away from her other toys we got her to open her presents!


She got some clothes and a pillow pet from her great, great uncle and Chauch then came the toys from Santa!!



Miss Lexi had a very busy and fun morning. She got lots of new toys but the last picture shows her favorites at the moment. The rest of the day we spent lounging around the house as a family! We watched Christmas movies, took a nap, and had another nice dinner together. Lexi even got some more cookies today! I am so thankful for the wonderful holidays I get to spend with my new, little family and can't wait for more memories to come. It is crazy to think how different this year was compared to last and even crazier to think how much different next year will be.

I saw this quote today on Facebook and thought it was very appropriate for me as well as my other first time moms. It was great as a kid but seeing your own child on Christmas is even better. 

A very special thank you to all the brave men and woman who sacrifice so much to keep us safe. I wish so much you could be with your families on this day but appreciate all you do so I can be with mine.

Florida Keys Review

  Florida Keys April 3rd-8th, 2021 Our Florida Keys trip was for Spring Break 2021. This was the first visit for my family, buy my in-laws who travelled with us have been a few times. We flew direct from Cleveland to Miami and then Miami - Charlotte - Cleveland return flight. Once in Miami we rented a car and drove down to the keys.  Day 1: We arrived in Miami around 10am or so. 31 Days 2013: Weight Loss!!!

Today has been an awesome day from start to finish!! Things just seem to falling in place and that makes me very happy as well as way less stressed. The best news of the day is that I lost more weight!!!! For those that were not aware I have been actively trying to lost weight since after I had Lexi. Well I lost the 25lbs of baby weight I gained in April, but wanted to lose more. So from that point on I started really focusing on losing weight. It already helped that I stopped having Starbucks multiple times a month and sometimes a week as well as pretty much stopped eating out. At home I focused more on healthier menu options as well as potion control. I also started tracking my food with MyFitnessPal . I truly believe those three things helped me continue losing weight because all I did for working out was walk.
