Hello November! Where has the year gone? I cannot believe it's the holiday season already. This review is a long time coming. Story time. I had original wrote this post back in October and thought I had set it up to post at certain time. Turns out that wasn't true at all and my post didn't save :( It has taken me way too long to get back here to write, but we had a crazy, busy Fall with soccer games, L starting preschool, and our Disney trip. I finally feel like this week I caught up with everything I needed too, which is nuts because now it's the holidays and both of my kids birthday. I've been running more this year then any other time in my life and I have been on the lookout for great, affordable gear. Running socks are something I've been having trouble finding. I either find ones I like, but not in my price point or I find ones that are in my price point and they are terrible. Enter these Neon Running socks by SLS3. I've worn these a handful of times when running and I have to say I am really impressed. So here is what I like about them: They are really comfortable. Light-weight, which is great for hot summer runs. They fit as described. I love the bright neon colors. Some things I don't like: The ankle part of the sock is tighter then I would like. They are a bit pricey then I would like. I really do not have anything negative to say about them. The quality has held up really well with wearing and washing them. This first half of the year, I've been told that saying a lot and while it's meant to be helpful, it's not all the time especially to someone suffering from postpartum depression and/or anxiety. The last seven month have been the hardest of my life. I never expected to have postpartum depressions or anxiety and I never expected to have it show up two months after having T. It has really thrown me for a loop and taken a lot longer to "get over" for lack of a better word. From about February/March until middle of July has been the roughest patch for me. I was barely sleeping, had a baby who screamed and cried all day and night, and had a toddler who needed me as well. I have spent months trying to figure out what is wrong with my son. I've had the pediatrician check for some many things and was always left with no answers.  June was my breaking point. I was in a really bad place and luckily my husband really started noticing. Hello everyone! It's been awhile since I've had the time to sit down and write a little. My babies are keeping me busy lately, but I wanted to give everyone an update on the 5K I ran back in February. If you read my previous post then you know it was The Runner Awakens Run that I participated in. If you didn't read the first post, click here . This was my first time using Level Up Virtual Runs and it won't be the last. The process to register was very simple and straightforward. There price point is also really great. As a stay-at-home mom I cannot afford a lot of races because they can get pricey. This race was $25 for the 5K and then increased by $5 for every distance up until the Half-Marathon. I ended up running with my local Moms Run This Town chapter on one of the Saturday runs, which kept me very motivated to keep going. The last few weeks have been really great for me and the blog! Yet again, I am really excited to share about this great company. Level Up Virtual Runs was created by two brothers who love running as well as the cool metals and swag that comes along with races :) They not only wanted to create an alternative way for runners to run races, but also give back to schools who may not be able to afford there sport programs.  First off, for those that do not know what a virtual race is, lets start there. A virtual race is a race you can ran anywhere at anytime. You can run it outside, inside, you can walk it, and even run it while running another race. You can run the race at your own pace as well. Another great aspect of the virtual race is that anyone can participate. I am really excited for the next race, which runs from February 15th to the 29th because it's Star Wars related!! I am so excited to share my new find with everyone! As most of you know, in the last year and a half or so I have gotten into running. Late last year I found out about running belts, which has made running solo much easy because I have a place to put my keys primarily as well as a few other things I carry. I was contacted by SLS3 recently to see about testing out their new duel pocket, water resistant running belt . I was finally able to head out over the last few days with this gorgeous weather to give the belt a test. The running belt comes in four colors: black, blue, lime, or purple. It has two pockets, which I've not seen on any other running belts I've looked at. They claim it's big enough to fit a large smartphone (i.e. iPhone 6+, Samsung Galaxy, etc.) plus other essential items like keys, cards, energy bars, and inhaler.
