31 Days 2013 - Personal Manifesto

After spending a few hours reading about how to figure out your passions as well as how to find out, which type of career I should be in I am still stuck on that topic. I feel like most of my ideas are so vague and random that I have no clue how to use them to get me to a career that I will thoroughly enjoy. I did find a few articles on creating a persona manifesto, which I thought was intriguing.

So after reading two of the articles I felt like it would be a good time to create or at least try to create a personal manifesto. I followed some great tips, which included picking the topics, write down my principles, use strong, affirmative language, and writing it down. Now I didn't actual use pen and paper like the article suggested but I did write it down in Word. This was still really difficult for me to do but I felt like it was more manageable and gave me clear things that I want to work towards.

Personal Manifesto

I want a career that allows flexibility in scheduling so I can still have time with Lexi and my family. I refuse to believe that there is a company out there that will not be willingly to work with me. I believe that if I work hard for them and achieve what they need they would allow some flexibility.

I will reconnect with John more often so that way we can find a common way to live our new lives. I will find inexpensive or free ways to build our relationship back up and push for us to have even just 30 minutes to ourselves.

I will make time for myself to continue working out. Working out allows me to remain calm, cool, and collected, which makes it better for everyone. I will stop the excuses and continue to work out in the winter, which is the real challenging part.

I am still not sure if this is exactly how my personal manifesto is suppose to go but off of what I read it seems to work for me. I now have a few things I can work on in my quest for change.  I know that I may not be able to find all these things right now but I do know that I am going to work my butt off in order to be able to achieve these goals.
